Cooked Pears with Flaked Almonds and Chocolate Sauce

Introduction
Pears can easily be turned into a simple dessert with less than 10 minutes preparation.
Ingredients
- 2 large pears
- 1/2l milk
- 3 tablespoons rum
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 pack of vanilla pudding
- Cinnamon
- Chocolate sauce
- 30g flaked almonds
Preparation
- Peel the pears and cut them into small cubes
- Mix the vanilla pudding with the milk and sugar
- Core and thinly slice the pears
- Sauté the pears in the butter for 3 minutes
- Add the chocolate sauce and the rum
- Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar and cook, stirring, until the sugar turns golden, 3 minutes
- Spoon the pudding into cups and top with the warm pears; sprinkle with some ground cinnamon
Serving Suggestion
Serve the pears warm or at room temperature. Accompany with perhaps a scoop of Vanilla ice cream and some dark chocolate sauce, a spoonful of crème fraîche, Milk chocolate & black pepper ice cream, fresh raspberries, or alongside a wedge of spice cake or gingerbread.
